About Our Organization

Family Counseling Service of Northern New York, Inc.
531 Washington Street, Suite 4124

Being a small not-for-profit agency, we really rely on our community for support. Mental health is a state of well-being that affects how people think, feel, and act and is important at every stage of life. Proper mental health helps people cope with stress, learn, work, and contribute to their communities. It also helps people build relationships, make decisions, and realize their full potential. This event would benefit not only our agency but our community as well. With more funding, we can help those who are unable to pay for their mental health care with our Client Assistance Fund. Being able to reach out into the community to help individuals rediscover their inner peace and teach them the skills they need to maintain that. Our clinicians see people of all ages, backgrounds, and demographics, which is huge, especially for the younger children in our community. With the recent change in counseling in surrounding neighboring areas, there is an alarming rate of clinicians who no longer help children under 18 years of age. Our goal is to continue to help more youth and give them a voice to encourage them to live happier and healthier lives.
